50th Post

"At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes -- all you need is one." - Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill)

It's Gonna Kill Me For The Rest Of My Life.

EDIT: Just realised how emo the title sounds =/

Let's get this out of the way.

Absolutely devastated that Andrew Garcia was eliminated this week. I think he could've picked a waaaay better song, but considering he picked a crappy song (Hound Dog), he sang it really well! I'm rooting for Big Mike to win now and I wouldn't be too bothered if Lee Dewyze won either, but if anyone else wins i'll be fricken pissed. If Tim Urban wins...well someone better hold my earrings cos i'll be going to kick some arses.

Seriously though, how cute is Andrew in this video? Especially with his dickie bow tie <3.

As much as I despise
him, Tim Urban probably delivered my favourite performance this week. I actually want this song performed at my wedding, his version anyway, it's beautiful.

Big Mike was my 2nd favourite;

Now that's out the way... I actually can't remember what I was blogging about because my sister closed all my web pages last night LOL. She was trying to get rid of something that was on the screen and closed every web page.

I've been spending a lot of time with my puppy lately, which I'm loving! I still call her my puppy even though she's almost 4! (Oh, you can follow her on Twitter haha). I bought her some cute clothes from www.doggystylestore.com, if you have a dog I really recommend that site. So far only one has been delivered, but when the rest turn up i'll make her do a little fashion show =D

Today is the first of my 4 days off. Ohaii long weekend <3. Today will be slightly boring I think. A food shop has to be done, I have the new episode of GLEE to watch(!!!!) and I want to visit Rosie so I can take her for a walk, then, who knows... I think we're going swimming tomorrow though :)

Before I post this, a site was mentioned on 'Russell Howard's Good News' last night and I've been asking people to retweet it, but if you can spare a second to make a sick child smile, please send a card/letter/gift.

It's Rosie, Bitch!

The lovely lady at Posh Paws gave Rosie a trim (understatement of the year!) and made her smell all pretty.
I took her to my sister's for a few hours and she was quite well behaved, so hopefully she'll be able to come and live with us soon! I'm going to see her on my days off, to take her for walks and stuff, and at the weekends she'll come to stay with us during the day :)

I'm blogging from the garden today because it's nice outside :)
Granted, it's not as nice as it was yesterday, but I'm not going to turn my nose up at some nice weather!

Me and my family were supposed to be going for a trip to the Beach today, but it didn't happen :( Instead, we've been doing other 'Sunday' activities, such as cleaning and shopping.

Tonight we're going to get Chinese take out, put our PJs on and watch movies. I'm looking forward to that! I've got 'The Proposal' and 'New Moon' ready, but whether we get to watch them is another story! I really enjoy watching 'The Proposal', this scene is soooooo funny!!

Hello Bud.

WOW. Today has sucked. A lot.
Still no Blink-182 tickets :( they'll probably be sold out by the time I can actually get any.

I know it's late but i'm going to make some cupcakes with Bethany in a bit (if she's still awake!) because we have some special decorations haha. I'll post another blog with pics tomorrow :)

The Grand National takes place at Aintree tomorrow. I've only ever placed bets on the horses twice in my entire life, but I placed some bets tonight and we're doing a 'family sweep stake' tomorrow! I bet on; 'Big Fella Thanks', 'King John's Castle', 'Joe Lively', 'Ballyfitz' and 'Hello Bud'. I'll let you know how I got on tomorrow ;]

Take a seat, I'll tell you how I'm feeling

So, Blink-182 tickets went on sale today, the pre-sale tickets anyway. Unfortunately I didn't get any, but the general tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow, so fingers crossed!!

I did buy Kids In Glass Houses tickets though! Sunday 2nd May at Newcastle University :) Hells yes.

Hmm, what else happened today............ OH, It was the American Idol eliminations. Andrew Garcia was in the bottom 3 :( Big Mike should have been eliminated but the judges used their save so 2 people go next week, bad times. Everyone cross your fingers for Andrew :) (or vote if you live in America!!)

This afternoon I made chocolate chip cookies with Bethany and we watched The Princess & The Frog, it was fun! We're going to have to find something to do tomorrow afternoon...maybe we'll watch Alvin & The Chipmunks 2?

April 07, 2010

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I'm feeling a little bit excitable tonight!

I've just had my Andrew Garcia fix on Idol and Blink-182 announced UK tour dates today. Best. Day. Ever.

The pre-sale starts at 9am tomorrow and I'm going to try to book tickets for the Glasgow show. Not sure about the whole pre-sale thing because I can't find the code anywhere, but if I can't book them tomorrow, i'll do it on Friday when they go on general sale :) Actually cannot wait. I heard All Time Low were going to be supporting too <3.

I'm also going to book 'Kids In Glass Houses' and 'The Rocket Summer' tickets, even though nobody wants to come see TRS with me :(

Anyway, back to Andrew Garcia. His performance this week wasn't as amazing as I've seen before, but I'm proper loving his Jedward hair at the moment!! Lynsey asked me on Formspring, if I could choose Andrew's song on Idol next week, what would it be? I'm not sure what the theme is, but i'd love to hear him put a spin on 'Baby' - Justin Bieber, 'Sick Little Games' - All Time Low and 'Oh, Boy!' - Buddy Holly. I feel the need to write him a letter and tell him this.

Easter Weekend.

I thought rather than updating every day, i'd just do a blog for the whole weekend :)

Good Friday:
After making a picnic, Me and Andrew took Bethany and Chloe on the field with the dogs. We flew Bethany's kite and let the dogs run around before going back home for our lunch. Chloe had a nap while me and Bethany watched the end of Camp Rock and then 101 Dalmations. (I'm confused, I don't know how to spell it anymore because i'm used to spelling it 'Dollamation'... thanks Jedward!). My sister told me it's tradition to eat fish on Good Friday, so I made herb crusted cod with pea and parsley puree and chips :)

Saturday:
The highlight of my Saturday was my Nanna buying Nuts magazine. LOL. A girl standing next to her at the magazine stand looked so weirded out! We went shopping then I pimped her scooter and we walked home in the rain. I made some lunch and we watched Diagnosis Murder, then I snuggled up with my puppy - Rosie and fell asleep. The rest of the evening was pretty boring but I made a lovely Weightwatcher's Chicken Tikka :)

My little gremlin <3 :

Easter Sunday:
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and got lots of yummy eggs! I got a Toy Story egg from my Nanna and a Caramel egg from my sister. I also got presents from my friend John. He got me the Series 1 box set of One Tree Hill, a book called 'PUSH' (which I read in 3 hours!) and another DVD, 'The Proposal'.

Bethany and Chloe's Eggs:

I arranged a little easter egg hunt for Bethany and Chloe and my dad joined us for dinner. I made a lovely roast dinner, the chicken was flavoured with lemon, garlic and herbs, which also made the yummiest gravy ever!

Andrew took Bethany and Chloe out after lunch so when my dad had gone home I finished my wine and played on the 'Boogie Superstar' wii game, then had a nice little nap.

Bank Holiday Monday:
We didn't do anything on Monday but if I don't mention the steak I made for my sister and brother-in-law she might cry! haha. I made steak basted in garlic butter for them and I had salmon, plus we had a selection of new potatoes, baby carrots, sweetcorn and peas. Delicious!

Things Aint So Pretty Back Home...

Originally by Luther Vandross, I've always adored this song, but this version brought me to tears.
I found the video on Youtube.com when I was watching Andrew Garcia videos, but I think AJ Rafael is an amazing artist. He has a great voice and after listening to some of his original music he's an awesome songwriter too.

This next video is a cover by Andrew Garcia. Try/Little Piece Of Home (Jesse Barrera/AJ Rafael)

Good Friday indeed!

Making homemade herb crusted cod bites with pea and parsley puree and chips while listening to Michael Jackson sing 'Smile'.

Doesn't get much better :)
